These terms cover your use of edgekiln.com and the Edgekiln backtest grading service (“Edgekiln”, “we”, “us”). By using the site, joining the waitlist, sending a backtest or paying for a plan, you agree to them.

Not investment advice

Edgekiln is an educational and analytical tool. Reports describe how a strategy behaved on historical or simulated data. They are not recommendations to buy, sell or hold anything, and they are not personalized advice. Past and simulated performance does not guarantee future results. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions. We are not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer.

Your strategies and files

You keep all rights to the strategies and files you send us. You give us permission to store and analyze them only to produce your report and improve our grading. We never share, sell or publish them. Uploaded files are deleted after 30 days. Reports are private unless you choose to share them.

Only send files you have the right to share, and don’t send passwords, account numbers or other sensitive personal data.

Accuracy

We work hard to make reports correct, but statistics on historical data have limits and reports may contain errors. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.

Founding membership and refunds

A founding membership costs $99 and gives you the Pro plan for 12 months from launch. Until launch you can ask for a full refund at any time by emailing support@edgekiln.com, no questions asked. If Edgekiln has not launched by March 31, 2027, we will refund every founding member automatically. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, no automated scraping, and no uploading of malware or content you don’t have rights to.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edgekiln is not liable for any trading losses or indirect damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
